Gay Unity Abroad specialises in co-ordinating weddings for couples residing in Southern Africa or visiting from abroad. We will ensure an incredible wedding experience and will arrange the entire event down to the smallest detail, there is no part of the special occasion that we will remiss.
We have various local consultants who we use to perform all of the necessary & required services. They have been carefully chosen for their expertise and the quality of their work. Our continued rapport with them ensures excellent and affordable service.
Kirsty has been approached by couples from overseas to get married in Cape Town / South Africa and slowly realised that there was a need for a company based in Cape Town that would offer a personalised service, co-ordination, creativity and unique wedding packages in beautiful locations in the Cape Town area and beyond.
Being based in Cape Town allows Kirsty the opportunity to be involved from the conceptual stage of the wedding, to the final co-ordination of the day in-person. This allows us to make sure the attention to detail is not lost at any stage.

I am really a romantic at heart, and there is no greater job satisfaction than combining my love of planning a romantic occasion in one of the very special places in South Africa, and offering my vast travel experience to the couple. Planning an itinerary or Honeymoon is such a great pleasure when I know that each couple end up falling in love with this country.
I enjoy this wonderful experience and especially to work with the many happy couples whose lives I touch from month to month year to year!
My responsibilities have varied from travel reservations, consulting, sales, marketing, incentives and function co-ordinating, including training on the latter. I have co-ordinated functions varying from 10 - 1000 people for corporate top 100 companies. Kirsty recognises the privilege of having visited over 100 cities world-wide, and to have travelled so extensively within Southern Africa during her 18 years in the travel business.

My first love has to be working with bridal couples to create their dream wedding day. I enjoy planning each and every wedding whether it is small or large and approach each couple’s day with the same enthusiasm and freshness. I am passionate about South Africa and the wonderful venues it offers for couples to exchange their lifelong vows and treasure their lifelong memories. I always feel privileged to be part of their very special day.
Originally from the UK, I have worked for several years in Cape Town creating weddings, honeymoons and holidays for overseas guests and nothing pleases me more than introducing my clients to the stunningly beautiful country that is South Africa.
